This is a view of the Apple II keyboard from the left side. Notice the raised button marked 'POWER', this is a distinguishing characteristic of an early (pre 1979) Apple II. Later Apple II's used the Apple II plus keyboards with a flush 'POWER' button. The button's only function is to illuminate when the computer is on and do not move or turn the computer on or off.
